Smart Notes is a new experimental feature in Surf that combines a traditional rich text editor with AI editing and writing features powered by your own context(s). Building-up and making use of your own personal context is at the heart of Surf, and with this release we want to give you tools to use that context to create something completely new out of it ✨
Within a Smart Note, you can mention your contexts using @ and then use opt/alt + enter to let Surf autocomplete what you have written 📝
If you ever get stuck or need inspiration, just hit the space key and it will give you suggestions on how to continue 💡
Sometimes, you know you have the perfect quote, statistic, or reference saved somewhere, but you can't remember where. Smart Notes can help you find those pieces. Simply select any text in your note, and similar content from your saved stuff will appear on the right side ✨
Drag and drop any link, video, or file from your stuff onto your note to create your own citations. You can also drop-in images to embed them in the note for some visual flare 🖼️
