Surf comes with its own note taking feature that combines a traditional rich text editor with AI editing and writing features powered by your own context(s). Building-up and making use of your own personal context is at the heart of Surf, and with Surf Notes you can use that context to create something completely new out of it ✨
To create a Note in Surf you can open the new tab menu (⌘/ctrl + T
) and select “Surf Note” or use the ⌘/ctrl + N
shortcut. A new note will be opened as a tab and automatically saved to your stuff. You can give it a custom name by clicking the default title and editing it.
By default a note is not saved in any of your contexts, only in stuff itself (under “Home”). To save it to one you can hover the save button on the note tab or right click the note in stuff and selecting one of your context from the “Add to Context” list.
Notes behave just like any other resource in your stuff. You can search for it based on its name and content, add it to different contexts and open it by clicking it. You can use shift + click to view it in the mini browser and drag it into a chat or onto a desktop.
