We have been looking at ways to get Browser Extensions working in Surf and thanks to **Sam Maddock** and his amazing electron-browser-shell project it's now much easier to get Chrome Browser Extensions working in Electron based apps - which Surf is one off!

🔐 Password Managers

Surf has experimental v0-support for Extensions, starting with some of the most common password managers (see below)!

Get started by enabling extensions in the Surf settings under “Experiments”. To install your favorite password manager go to the Chrome Webstore, search for it and hit install! It will show up behind a new “puzzle” icon next to the new tab button (next to the navigation buttons in vertical mode).

So far we have whitelisted the most common password managers and tested the ones mentioned below. For some password managers, not all features will work right now (like autofill for Dashlane) and setup might be a bit slower.
